Yewon Yoon / Soprano

  • Soprano Yewon Yoon is a native of Seoul, Korea. Ms. Yoon made her opera debut as Mimi in Puccini’s La boheme at Korea National University of Arts where she also performed Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto. Some of her operatic credits include: Le Fue in L’enfant et les Sortilèges(Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra), Servilia from La clemenza di Tito (CCM), Erste Dame in Die Zauberflöte (Incheon Symphony Orchestra in Korea).

    Currently residing in the greater Los Angeles area, Ms. Yoon has performed as Violetta in La Traviata with Pacific Lyric Association and Krysia in Two Remain with Lyric Opera Orange County. As a chorus member, she performs with LA opera chorus, LA Master Chorale and Pacific Chorale. Ms. Yoon earned the First prize from Three Arts Competition in Cincinnati. She was a finalist of Korea National Opera Competition and 3rd prize of Seil Art song Competition in Korea. Ms.Yoon holds degree from Chung-Ang University and Korea National University of Arts. Currently, she is pursuing her doctoral degree at University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she earned master’s degree with Thomas Baresel.

Frank Espinosa /Alto

· “Frank Espinosa is a classically trained multi-genre vocalist who hails from Los Angeles,California. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from California State University Fullerton and a Master of Music Degree from Boston University. He has participated in the many operatic scenes from works such as Handel’s Giulio Cesare and Rodelinda, Mozart’s The Magic Flute and Le nozze di figaro, and the Titular role of Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah. He has performed concert works such as Britten’s Serenade for Tenor and Horn and other works by Buxtehude, Bach, Orf and Stravinsky. He has claimed national awards and was deemed a winner of Puerto Rico district in the 2022-2023 season of the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions and an encouragement award from the Gulf Coast Region. He intends to use his experiences to guide and teach the next generation of singers and to help spread music to underserved communities.”

Christopher Bang / Bass

Christopher Bang debuted his singing career as the baritone soloist of Carmina Burana with the Chamber Choir of Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts. He then served as the bass soloist for Hadyn’s Missa in Angustiis, as well as an original oratorio he helped compose in partnership with the LA Master Chorale titled Woman at the Window, where he sang the role of Harris, a boss of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. Christopher has sung across the Pacific coastline, with some of his most notable performances including Dr. Falke of Strauss’ Die Fledermaus with Biola University, Antonio of Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at the Aquilon Music Festival, and his most recent role as Mercurio of Cavalli’s La Calisto, which was regrettably indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemicChristopher received his baccalaureate from the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California.

Hsin-Yu Hung / Bass

Born and raised in Hsinchu, Taiwan, Hsin-Yu Hung serves as the section leader of the USC Concert Choir and Westwood Methodist United Church, also he was the associate conductor of the USC University Chorus and a member of the USC Chamber Singers. Prior to his studies at USC, Hung served as a lecturer of Curriculum Development in the Taiwan Central Choral Center. He also worked as a high school choral director and won several national choral and ethnic music competitions while simultaneously serving as associate and guest conductor for community choirs. As a bass-baritone singer, he won several prizes in the National Student Competition of Music.

Hung is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Choral and Sacred Music at the USC Thornton School of Music. His Choral conducting teachers include Drs. Tram Sparks, Nick Strimple, Jo-Michael Scheibe, and Cristian Grases, also studied instrumental conducting with Prof. Larry J. Livingston.
